Escape Through Time

This is an odd one. Escape Through Time has one of the most original stories out there and requires you to really live up to the role you have been given as a time traveler. There are some amazingly awesome features placed in this escape room that will blow your mind!
Pros:
amazing storyline acting required very original puzzles and features

The Vault

This escape room has a mind blowing storyline, technologically advanced, physically challenging, very nice puzzles (but think first before you act), and the suspense is a killer! What a buzz! I couldn't even get to the end, but I have to say, this is, in my book, the best escape room in the Netherlands (statement made in March 2017).YOU MUST VISIT THIS ROOM!!
Pros:
mind blowing storyline very neat and crafty puzzles acting is needed killer suspense physical challenges 75 minutes of pure adrenaline
Cons:
it's not cheap, but it's more than worth it think first before you act or you might be stuck with resetting a puzzle

The Prison Cell

The Prison Cell really is one of the best escape rooms of 2016. Crafty puzzles, actors, nice story, and you even get cuffed! Full adrenaline in this room, going out with a bang.
Pros:
crafty puzzles nice story acting, which adds to the atmosphere
Cons:
lack of technological features, but that isn't always necessary

Judgement Day

Judgement Day is one of the most technologically advanced escape rooms I've seen out there, which gives a very futuristic feeling and really adds to the storyline. Speaking of the storyline, lovely work, though most of it came directly from a certain Arnold Schwarzenegger movie ;). Some very interesting puzzles, mixed every now and again with physical challenges. Good mix!
Pros:
good puzzles fun storyline great atmosphere excellent location in the centre of Amsterdam
Cons:
somewhat expensive, but it's worth it.

Zodiac Killer

The Zodiac Killer room is an escape room that compares to one of the best rooms in the Netherlands about three years ago. Since then a lot has changed in the escape room landscape and therefore I consider this escape room to be a good escape room, but not much more than that. The storyline is interesting, but not too original. The room itself does feel pretty authentic and leaves you with a nice impression of a serial killer’s house. Next to that, there are some crafty and original puzzles as well, but those occasionally get interchanged with weaker puzzles, also including a lot of locks. There is also some electronic material in the room that can fail on you a bit, but that does also add to the atmosphere. All in all, this room is fun to do with 4 people.
Pros:
some good puzzles good storyline nice atmosphere
Cons:
too many locks potentially failing equipmen

KGB

The KGB room is the first room that Amaze Escape created. This room is, despite its age, still a good escape room, especially if you want to get familiar with the topic. Experienced escape roomers will probably need to look for other challenges though.
Pros:
- Good for beginners - Nice atmosphere

THE DENTIST

The Dentist was awarded with being the best escape room of 2014 in the Netherlands. And in that time it indeed was one of the best. A good bone chilling experience, with some interesting puzzles and an even better storyline.
Pros:
- Good immersive storyline - Very nice atmosphere

Arcade Invasion

Love this escape room. A great theme, with an even better execution. Solid special effects and highly creative puzzles. Job very well done!
Pros:
- Very good puzzles - Lovely theme - Good atmosphere

The Vault

Let's just say I'm not a fan of this escape room.
Pros:
- It's cheap
Cons:
- Lack of interesting puzzles - Lack of atmosphere - Too crowded - Broken materials - Bad service

What happened to Elizabeth’s Lionheart?

The search for Elizabeth's lionheart is a tough, yet very entertaining one. Being one of the earlier escape rooms in the Netherlands, this is considered one of the best escape rooms of that time (2014). A great storyline, with a good atmosphere and set of puzzles to back it up.
Pros:
- Interesting puzzles - Compelling storyline - Good atmosphere
Cons:
- Lack of good special effects

Casino Mysteria

Casino theme is a very interesting one. And it has quite a compelling storyline. However, the design level does seem to disappoint here. Not much detail has gone into actually making it a believable casino. Some of the puzzles are actually fun, but most of it is not too uplifting either. Overall, a doable escape room.
Pros:
- Very affordable
Cons:
- Boring design

Zombie Escape

The zombie theme is always good for a serious adrenaline shot. This one if no different, however, the puzzles are ok, the design is allright, the atmosphere is sort of there. You just constantly feel like something is missing. Also, the ending is really weird.
Pros:
- zombie theme - good for a couple of scares
Cons:
- weird ending

The Architect

The Architect is definitely one of the best escape rooms that were created in 2015, when escape rooms where getting popular in the Netherlands. The Beurs van Berlage is a most stunning location for an escape room, but at the same time, probably adds to the costs for playing the escape room as well. Despite that, this escape room provides the player with many enjoyable things.
Pros:
- Great scenery - Nice puzzles and storyline
Cons:
- Somewhat expensive

Mysterium

The atmosphere and storyline is what makes this escape room so good. Right from the start you are sucked into it. It's location and design really adds to the excellent atmosphere and enhances the stroyline. The added special effects are there, but not very excessive. Some really good puzzles. Overall, a very likeable experience!
Pros:
- Great atmosphere - Immersive storyline - Good puzzles
8.7 User Score

Wake Up!

The atmosphere in this escape room is absolutely magical, which is the room's greatest feature. Additionally, there is a very nice storyline and some really good special effects. Claustrophobia managed to set up a challenging escape room, that can compete with one of the best escape rooms of its time (it was built in 2015).
Pros:
- Great, magical atmosphere - Good puzzles - Lovely stroyline - Nice special effects
8.2 User Score

Medioeval Room

The puzzles are fun, but not very crafty. You don't really get the feeling you are inside a medieval era, though there is music and you can dress up (which is a nice feature). Special effects are totally absent. Good escape room for first timers, not an escape room for the experienced player.
Pros:
- It's not expensive. - good room to get familiar with the escape room phenomenon
Cons:
- lack of atmosphere - there is hardly a storyline - no special effects
